RATED TOURNEY SAT, Oct 30 in Newbury Park! Also on Sun, Nov 14

 

The TOCC’s next tournament, the 2021 Oct Swiss in the Park, will take place on Saturday, Oct 30!

 

Location will be OUTDOORS at Dos Vientos Community Park in Newbury Park. 4801 Borchard Rd, Newbury Park, CA 91320 Click for Google Maps.

 

Also SAVE THE DATE – the TOCC Nov Swiss in the Park will take place on Nov 14 at the site of our September tournament, Conejo Community Park (Dover/Hendrix). Full details coming soon!

Both tourney locations have been reserved this time – so no last minute location change nonsense!

 

The Dos Vientos tourney on the 30th will be four rounds in three sections: OpenUnder 1500, and Under 800
The top 2 sections will play G/45 d5, while the U800 will play double-rounds.This means they will play two games against each opponent for a total of eight games! (G/25 d5). 
Open to all – unrateds welcome. $580 prize fund.

Entry fee: $30 until 10/28; $40 after/onsite.

Registration will be capped at 60 players.

*Fair warning: Park may be busy & loud. We cannot guarantee noise/distraction levels will be ideal compared to indoor tournaments.

P.S. Someone let me know if you can think of a more creative name for the tournaments… I dropped “action” from the title since that usually refers to G/30 events. I don’t really like the current names but couldn’t think of anything, so yeah…
